On 5 August 2026, a delegation from the Thai Rice Exporters Association (TREA), led by Mr. Chookiat Ophaswongse, Honorary President, together with Mr. Chokchai Sethiwan, Vice President, and members of the Association’s Board of Directors, joined the Department of Foreign Trade, with support from the Office of Commercial Affairs in Kuala Lumpur, on a visit to Malaysia to meet with Padiberas Nasional Berhad (BERNAS), strengthen bilateral rice trade relations, and promote Thai rice through business networking activities
